Youth Board
The Youth Board shall consist os three elected members, one to be elected each year for a term of three years. The newly elected members shall meet with the board in June and July to establish a budget and to organize for the fiscal year. They shall elect a chairman to represent them on the Church Council, and a secretary to keep minutes and records. They shall select and request approval of appointed members as needed to fulfill their duties.
The duties of the Youth Board shall be:
- Making plans complementary to the congregational plan established by the Church Council, establishing goals toward achieving the plan, and preparing detailed budget requirements;
- Providing an adequate program of youth ministry; that contributes to the spiritual growth of the participants, and that every effort be made to involve all the members in the congregation in the church's youth ministry;
- Selecting dedicated adult leaders for each organization serving as part of the youth ministry;
- Providing an adequate library for the youth ministry and training opportunities for adult and youth leaders;
- Equipping youth to be servants to their congregation, their home, their school, their community, as the fulfillment of their true vocation as baptized members of His Kingdom;
- Coordinating the youth ministry with other ministries of the congregation; and
- Lending aid and assistance to the Scout Leaders in providing a Christian scouting program for the children of our community.
